National recognition came from the Creedence Clearwater Revival song “Lodi,” but the small agricultural town and surrounding area are well known for the cultivation of grapes and production of wine. Starting in the early 20th century, and right up to the early 1980s, Lodi promoted itself as the “Tokay Capital of the World” due to the abundance of the Flame Tokay variety in the area. With the replacement by other varietals, primarily Zinfandel, Lodi now proudly promotes itself as the “Zinfandel Capital of the World.”
With over 90 wineries in the area, Lodi can barely contain its excitement and passion for wine! Lodi celebrates all year around at the Grape Festival, Taste of Lodi, Wine and Chocolate, and Zinfest. Check out the Lodi Visitor’s Center or LoCA for more information regarding these events.
Viaggio Estate and Winery is located in Acampo, CA on the property that was formerly the Taddei Walnut Farm. Still surrounded by walnut orchards, its beauty is breathtaking!
A pair of real estate investors, Larry and Teri Lawrence took over full ownership of Viaggio in 2012. Larry is originally from Elk Grove and is the former Sacramento County Farm Bureau President, and now the President and CEO of Viaggio! He is also currently an active agent for buying and selling homes in the area. Larry’s wife Teri, the wine maker, is originally from Louisiana, but she loves California and is happy to call Viaggio home. Teri is a microbiologist/scientist and is using her extensive chemistry and microbial background to perfect the art of wine making. She’s very excited to be producing fantastic and award-winning wines that you will be talking about for years to come!
Larry and Teri give all the credit and glory to God, and thank him daily for the courage and strength to live their lives to the fullest each day. Larry and Teri have worked hard to build an amazing team, and together with them, are enjoying watching the wine selection grow and Viaggio on the River grow as a renowned winery and exclusive wedding venue. They have a lovely family of Larry II, Scott and Samm, Randy, and Bryce and Gabby, along with two awesome grandsons, Braxton and Corbin! All reside in California.
Quarterly: 4 shipments a year
Cancellation Policy: One year commitment required. Members may cancel at any time after receipt of their 4th consecutive release. If a member cancels prior to their 4th release then any previous discounts received will be reversed and charged to the card on file. During Wine Club release processing, if a members card is declined more than 4 times, the membership will automatically be cancelled until payment of the current release is received and all information is updated.
California shipping is $20 for 2 bottles. Shipping cost vary from state to state. Please email request for shipping rates if out of California. We do not ship to Utah or New Hampshire.
Members will receive a confirmation email when orders are processed. Each shipment will be available at our “Pick Up Party” or anytime thereafter. Orders not picked up after thirty (30) days will be automatically shipped, and your card billed.

Viaggio recently invited Google Maps to make a virtual tour of the property! Start by strolling down Main Street. Along the way, you’ll find our exclusive Man Cave for Viaggio groom’s and La Vita Bella, our tasting room to your right. Head towards the main lawn to see a wedding ceremony setup along the river, and the reception hall getting prepared for the following day’s festivities. Also take a peak in the Viaggio Wine Trolley as well!

We are currently accepting resumes for experienced banquet servers for the 2016 wedding season. This is a part time position. Banquet servers set up for events, carry trays, serve guests and clean up at the end of the event. Set up can include arranging table placement, putting out linens and place settings, and occasional bartending. A banquet server’s duties during the event can vary based on the situation. They must be able to focus on the job while staying on their feet and moving about freely, which can include bending, climbing stairs and carrying items weighing 25-50 pounds. Good communication is important, as is being able to follow directions efficiently and meeting the physical demands of the job. A positive attitude while on the job is also essential.
