Viaggio Estate & Winery is located in the heart Lodi Wine Country, nestled among lush vineyards and walnut orchards who share one stunning backdrop, the pristine Mokelumne River. A family-owned destination for wine lovers, Viaggio combines unparalleled natural beauty and meticulously handcrafted wines with comfortable elegance and gracious hospitality.
We warmly invite you to begin your journey with a stroll down our beautiful tree-lined Main Street, where relaxing music plays among lush gardens and dancing water fountains. Bring along friends and spend a fun afternoon relaxing by the River. Grab a blanket and a glass of wine and head over to one of our expansive lawns and take in a dazzling Lodi sunset. Or share a bottle on our patio followed by a leisurely game of bocce ball. Explore romantic pathways along the winding river’s edge that lead to who-knows-where. Where Your Journey to Forever Begins
For owners Larry and Teri Lawrence, our motto serves as a daily reminder of how one bold decision forever changed the course of their lives, thus beginning their journey into the delectable world of fine wine and gracious hospitality that is Viaggio Estate & Winery.
As CEO of Viaggio Estate & Winery, Larry Lawrence has strong ties to Northern California as a farmer and real estate investor, formerly serving as President of the Sacramento County Farm Bureau. Larry oversees the daily maintenance and operations of the estate.
As a Microbiologist/Scientist, Teri Lawrence has put her dedicated skillset to work on the grapes and holds the title as Viaggio’s Vintner. Originally from Louisiana, Teri coordinates and supervises staff at the winery and handles duties alongside her husband as a farmer and real estate investor.
With four sons and three grandsons, their lives are full and satisfying each and every day.

Winemaker Teri Lawrence
Applying her expert scientific skills to the world of wine making, Viaggio’s winemaker, Teri Lawrence, crafts single vineyard wines that showcase the true flavors of the varietals. Since their inaugural release, Viaggio wines have earned numerous awards and critical acclaim.
Teri, a licensed California Scientist of Microbiology with a specialty in human pathogens, applies the same methodical principles to wine making; namely, what will hurt the wine and what will help the wine. In finding the answers, Teri’s background and experience has allowed her to completely understand the winemaking process. Teri is now WSET Level 3 Certified and is in the process of becoming a certified Master of Wine. A Master of Wine is possibly the most prestigious winemaking certification in the world!
Lawrence strongly believes that to produce excellent wine, one must start with excellent fruit. Then, let the wine become what it needs to be, as each wine evolves a bit differently. This is what makes wine so fascinating: each vintage, vineyard, and bottle can be consistent yet different year after year.
Viaggio Winery has recently become WOSB and WBE certified and is currently expanding to reach its full potential as the best winery in California! To God Be The Glory!!
